The Floyd Mayweather Vs. Victor Ortiz fight has heated up over the past few days. Floyd’s grabbing of Vic’s throat at the final press conference shows that perhaps the younger challenger has gotten into his head a little bit. Victor’s youth and his lack of respect for Floyd gives him a little bit more of a chance in this fight, but I don’t think it will be enough.
Floyd love him or hate him is a special type of fighter. He is undefeated and does not know the feeling of defeat. When I spoke with Roy Jones Jr a few weeks ago, he said, “One thing that will give Ortiz trouble is Floyd’s athletic ability.”
Floyd’s defense and his ability to time will be a difference maker. Ortiz has one shot, to knock Floyd out. No way does Ortiz win on points.

If you have been watching the HBO 24/7 series you saw that Floyd’s been doing what he always does. He flashes his money around and shows off his material assets at every chance. In fact, he couldn’t help himself when he was talking to our troops via SKYPE who were stationed in Afghanistan. Floyd walked his laptop around the house aiming his webcam at different parts of his mansion. I’m not sure that a Marine stuck in a tent in Afghanistan was too thrilled about watching that but it is what it is. At least Floyd took out some time to talk to the troops, which I respect him for.
