Manny Pacquiao is currently training for his 3rd fight Vs. Juan Manuel Marquez. Roy Jones Jr, the future hall of fame bound legend recently offered Manny some advice. When I spoke to Roy about Pacquiao and Marquez and a potential fight Vs. Floyd Mayweather, he said, ?If Manny fights Floyd, he better throw him a change up. Floyd has studied Manny and he knows what to expect. Manny better change up some things in the ring. He better do that Vs. Marquez too. Marquez is a smart fighter as well.?
Roy has made it clear publicly that he is a big fan of Manny Pacquiao’s. In a recent interview, Roy reached out to Manny and offered him some additional advice. Check out that interview HERE.
Roy is the former pound for pound king, and knows how life is when you’re on the top of the food chain. He told Manny, ?I know how it is up there. If you need someone to talk to I’ll be glad to offer you some advice. Just pick up the phone and call me.? Both Pacquiao and Jones have a lot of respect for each other. Both men can relate to each other on more than one topic.

As far as Pacquiao and Marquez goes this should be a difficult fight for Marquez. Pacquiao has evolved 5 times further than JMM has since their last scrap. No matter how tough JMM is, he better be fully prepared for a much stronger and much more dangerous Manny Pacquiao than the first one he met.
Marquez has been in some wars and we just don’t know when father time will grab him. Pacquiao has been in some wars as well but he hasn’t shown many signs of slowing at all. He did have some leg issues Vs. Mosely but those were leg cramps. Pacquiao’s speed looks about the same as it always has, and he hits even harder now than he did when he last fought Marquez.
Mississippians that I spoke to down in Biloxi at the Berto Vs. Zaveck fight had mixed feelings. Most of them felt that Pacquiao would win rather easily. When the same question was asked about Mayweather the feelings remained mixed. Some think Mayweather beats Pacquiao and some feel Pacquiao beats Mayweather. It’s just like how Roy Jones broke it down, ? This is a pickem fight? said Roy, ? It depends on which fighter is on their A game that night. If Floyd is closer to 100 percent on his A game, then he will win. If Manny is closer to 100 percent on his A game that night then he will win.?
All we as fans can do is watch and wait. Hopefully the boxing God’s will make the big fight happen.
