Pacquiao Can Quickly Look ‘old’ with Mayweather, Jr’s Style

HOT POTATO via Beverly Hills, California – Pound-for-Pound king Manny Pacquiao, now 33, feels he is stronger and better-developed than in his previous fights. He sees a much easier opponent in Juan Manuel Marquez (53-5-1), 38, this coming November 12 versus the young Chilango whom he fought twice in 2004 and 2008, which bouts he clinched less securely a draw and a split decision respectively.

“I feel that I am stronger and quicker than before and it’s going to be a good fight,” Pacquiao says.

But, if Pacquiao were to fight Floyd Mayweather, Jr. ( 41-0-0) now, he (Pacquiao) “can quickly look ‘old’ because of fast feet and hands and chess-like movements” of the undefeated, plus “his less engaging yet thinking style of aggression”. At least that’s the raw dissenting statement from one of the known core figures of Team Pacquiao who shares his view on condition of anonymity.
