MANILA, Philippines ? The trainers of Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are both expecting a difficult bout when their fighters step into the ring on November 12.
Pacquiao and Marquez will face each other for the 3rd time, and Freddie Roach and Ignacio ?Nacho? Beristain are bracing for war.
?This is a big fight. We?ve had 2 tremendous fights and I expect the 3rd one to be the same,? Roach said during the pre-fight press conference in New York.
Roach complemented Marquez, who has already been knocked down 4 times by Pacquiao.
?His fighter got up from 3 knockdowns the first time and 1 knockdown the second time. He has more balls in the world than anyone,? Roach said.
In their first meeting in 2004, Pacquiao and Marquez fought to a controversial draw. Their 2008 rematch saw Pacquiao win via a close split decision.
Beristain, for his part, admitted that the 3rd bout will be more difficult.
?We know this time around, we are facing a very tough Manny Pacquiao who has really developed into a great fighter thanks to his trainer,? Beristain said.
?He has developed overall into a great boxer, with his strength and his power. He is the complete package,? he added.
But Beristain remains confident about his boxer?s skills.
