Manny Mania- This past Saturday, I was in Mexico relaxing and having a great time with family and friends. We went shopping on that Saturday afternoon, and it seemed like just about every store that had a television, made sure to have the Pacquiao/Marquez press tour on. All eyes were glued to the screen as their hero, Juan Manuel Marquez walked across the stage in Manila. It was reported that more than 70,000 people attended the kickoff of the Pacquiao/Marquez press tour in Manila..70,000!..Wow. The press tour will next hit the big apple on Tuesday as it hits it?s next stop in New York City..the Manny Maniacs will without a doubt be in N.Y. following and supporting their hero, Manny?s fans are very loyal to Pacquiao, but you know something, Marquez?s followers are also very loyal to Juan Manuel. As I was in Mexico, I made sure to ask a few fans on their thoughts on how they think Marquez will do against the Manny Pacquiao of today, not the 130 pound version..and believe it or not, the fans in Mexico all mentioned to me that Marquez is very well aware that Pacquiao now has a deadly right hand to go with his lethal left hand, but Marquez shows Pacquiao no fear, and showing Pacquiao no fear is what will make Pacquiao re-set as the super tough Marquez fires off his combinations. At that point, I wasn?t about to mention to them that Marquez will be lucky to see the 6th round against Manny the Machine. Only one person out there said that Manny will win, but he made sure to tell me that it will once again be a war because Marquez is the only fighter in the world that knows how to fight Pacquiao. Most of the fans out there also mentioned to me that Mayweather has no balls by the way..they went on to add that Mayweather needs to live in the tough streets of Mexico for at least half a day so he can really appreciate money, mullah, dinero.. At the grocery store, one Mexican man laughed and joked that for the kind of money that is being thrown around for Floyd to fight Manny, he said he didn?t care if Manny walked into the ring with a machine gun, he would still step in the ring with Manny and fight him for all those millions?I still think that Marquez will be taken out in a similar way that Erik Morales was taken out when Morales fought Pacquiao in their third meeting. But hey, what do I know..
Mayweather/Ortiz and 24/7- Word is that Floyd is upset at what HBO is deciding to show on the hit series show 24/7.. maybe Floyd feels that HBO is focusing too much on Ortiz?s childhood past and not enough on other things that will help sell the fight. Maybe Floyd wanted HBO to air the little ?play? time sparring that he had against his bff 50 cent. Well Floyd, in all honesty, maybe that sparring session would interest rap basement but it doesn?t interest the hard core boxing fans. We want to see footage of you beating your sparring partners down, I mean why do you force HBO to turn the cameras off during your sparring sessions against proffesional fighters? That?s the kind of stuff we really want to see..unless HBO failed to show Ms. Jackson bathing in a Roman tub full of money, only to then stand up to dry herself with a bath towel made of money, watching a ?re-hearsed? talking scene between you and 50 cent as you talk through money stacks doesn?t really do it for me. Floyd also on his twitter page mentioned that blacks go through life struggles all the time and always rise.that?s the thing with Floyd, he always makes it a color race thing..If you ask Floyd, Floyd will go on and probably tell you that Barry Bonds deserves to be in the Hall of Fame but Mark Mcgwire doesn?t..In all realness, ALL races go through their struggles, I don?t care if you are black, brown, white, yellow, red, green, or Avatar blue.. Floyd you of all people should know that this is a money thing, HBO is wanting to use Ortiz?s hard struggle and blow it the F up to generate more PPV buys, call it pitty buys, call it whatever you want..Believe it or not, there are people out there that are watching the show and are now going to order the PPV because they feel sorry for the Ortiz family and they would love to see the fight to root for the underdog. It?s what made Rocky so popular, rooting for the underdog. your bff 50 cent said it best, ?hate it or love it the underdog is on top and I?m gonna shine homie until my heart stop ?.. part of me feels that Floyd hates the fact that Ortiz had it much tougher than him growing up, like Naazim Richardson once said, your daddy was a fighter so were your uncles, who was really gonna mess with you while you were growing up? So HBO is just doing their job, they are helping build interest, helping promote the fight that is going to get you another ??stupid? payday, your words, not mine. So telling the HBO editor staff to stop it with the Ortiz pitty party is like telling them to tell you to not talk, show, or bragg about money..come on man, your much smarter than that. Floyd your wish was to be a villain to sell, sell, sell, and well HBO is granting your wish by making you the ultimate glorified infamous villain. It?s much easier to sell a good guy vs. bad guy event..HBO along with your own help of course, want the world to want to tune in to get the chance to see you humbled, to see you defeated, they want to drag you through the mud, but at the very end of this all, it shouldn?t bother you because this is what you asked for, this is what made you. As far as you mentioning that Victor shouldn?t look up to Oscar, well you tell me who do YOU look up to? Whomever it is, I can assure you that the very person that you look up to is not as righteous as you think, in fact go on and name me one athlete that had a controversy clean career? I think it just killed Floyd to hear Oscar downplay, to pretty much advise Victor that Floyd?s record is fabricated..Well Floyd if that is what?s bothering you, My momma always told me, if it?s not true then it shouldn?t bother you..in fact, when you hear Oscar give Victor advise on how to beat you, all you have to do is spit this Jay-Z already home line at Oscar, The shit that you just witnessessing, I been on And as for the critics, tell me I don?t get it, Everybody can tell you how to do it, they never did it!..You see Floyd, there are two sides to every coin, I also see your side and I can relate, so you can spin this like a record and say that it?s a race thing but it?s really not..it?s a money thing..
