Former five weight world champion Floyd Mayweather took to his twitter account earlier today, posting a series of inflammatory messages taking aim at everyone from former opponent Oscar De La Hoya to the producers of HBO’s 24/7 series, which he and upcoming opponent Victor Ortiz are currently starring in.
He began by laying into De La Hoya, who of late has been making numerous public statements admitting that he was well past his prime when he lost to Mayweather, and that he believes that Victor Ortiz will end his 41-0 unbeaten streak. “Oscar De la Hoya is trying to stay relevant by admitting to his vices and Victor said he look at that man like “GOD”
“De La Hoya is a drug user, dresses like a drag, committed adultery and drinks alcohol and Ortiz looks up to this guy.”
Incidentally Mayweather seems to have missed the point of De La Hoya’s public admittance of his vices. That being that he no longer drinks, does drugs or prances around in women’s clothing, and has acknowledging that he had problems.
