?I want to fight both? ? Shane Mosley eyeing the winner of Cotto-Margarito II

Future Hall-of-Famer and former five-time champion ?Sugar? Shane Mosley recently made headlines after making a surprise appearance at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles as he sparred four rounds with rising lightweight contender Mercito ?No Mercy? Gesta. Mosley had been flying under the radar since his unanimous decision loss to Manny Pacquiao this May at the MGM Grand and any form of him being in the ring again surely points towards a possible comeback by the 39-year old.

Speaking to ESNewsReporting.com, Mosley seemed to be a bit inspired after sparring with the 23-year old Gesta.

?We had a little bit of sparring,? said Mosley. ?He?s a lightweight, a contender coming up, he?s doing his thing, and I?m happy to see young guys in there getting ready to be a world champion. It?s fun to be in there and work with different guys.?

Mosley?s future seemed uncertain following the Pacquiao loss, a contest that saw him dropped in the 3rd round and remain relatively ineffective afterwards in a fight that failed to deliver any kind of suspense or intrigue. Now that he seems set to fight again, Mosley has his eyes on the upcoming rematch between WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and former champion Antonio Margarito.

In the first meeting Margarito overcame an early deficit on his way to dropping Cotto twice late in the fight and scoring an 11th round TKO in Las Vegas. Mosley seems curious as to whether the Tijuana slugger can repeat the same feat on December 3rd.

?It?s going to be a great fight. I think that Cotto is a very good fighter. Margarito is also a great fighter. Cotto had the edge in the fight when they fought and then Margarito came on strong, so we can see if that applies again this time when they fight again,? stated Mosley.

Mosley knows both men well, having lost to Cotto inside of the famed Madison Square Garden in November of 2007 via close decision while scoring a shocking upset over Margarito in January of 2009. Asked which man he would prefer to fight, Shane seems indifferent.

?It doesn?t matter. I want to fight both. If Margarito would want to fight me again I would fight him; if Cotto wants to fight I will do a round-robin and fight both of them. I?ve got my eyes on Cotto-Margarito II.?
