Staged? real? either way what was displayed on HBO 24/7 the other night was embarrassing for boxing. Floyd Mayweather Jr and his father got into a heated argument with both men dropping F bombs at one another. Little Floyd showed no respect whatsoever for his dad calling him nothing but a “cab driver” and telling him that “nobody wants to be with you.”
There are some that say the argument may have been staged, but perhaps not. The two men have had a history of blowups and heated exchanges in the past. Big Floyd has told this writer (when he used to talk to me) many times that he made Floyd Jr. Last night on 24/7 little Floyd gave his dad zero credit and gave Roger Mayweather all of the credit.
There seems to be a lot of anger that little Floyd holds toward his father. Little Floyd must have his reasons to gravitate toward Roger and away from his father. Floyd reiterated to his father that he was not really needed in his camp, “Ain’t nothing wrong with this camp” said Mayweather, “We 41-0 ain’t never been defeated.” All the while the two men were screaming at each other, Roger Mayweather at quietly on the ring and just watched. Obviously it was not an easy spot for Roger to be in watching his brother and nephew going at it like that.
