MANILA?Manny Pacquiao will use The Philippine Sports Commission facilities in Baguio City to prepare for his fight against former world bantamweight champion Oscar Larios of Mexico on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Pacquiao will train at the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines boxing gym inside the sprawling Teachers Training Camp, where the members of the national boxing team are currently training in preparation for the 15th Asian Games.
Sources from Pacquiao?s camp said that he plans a three-week training at the Wild Card Gym of Fred Roach in California next month.
Pacquiao then will return to the Philippines and train in Baguio City before coming back to Manila a week before the fight.
The Filipino southpaw will be fighting in the Philippines for the first time since last June when he knocked out Thailand?s 3-K Battery in the fourth round.
Larios, who is going to receive $450,000 for the scheduled 12-round bout, reportedly will train in Japan, where he is assured of getting quality sparring partners for his 130-pound fight against Pacquiao. (FCC)
