Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez will be in Los Angeles to attend a press conference scheduled for September 7th to promote their third bout that is to take place on November 12th at the Mecca of boxing, MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The world wide promotional tour is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 3rd in Manila where sixty thousand fans are expected to turn up for open to the public press conference. Promotional tour will end on September 8th in Mexico where similar fan fair is anticipated. Following the conclusion of the press tour in Mexico, congressman Manny Pacquiao will fly back to Philippines to attend to his senate duties.
Pacquiao and Marquez have fought twice in the past; first time in 2004 at featherweight limit in a breathtaking battle that featured Manny Pacquiao scoring three knock downs in the first round and Marquez recovering and coming back strong for highly contested draw, and the second time in 2008 at super featherweight limit where Pacman won a razor thin split decision victory due to a third round knock down. Would Floyd Mayweather’s ego be able to handle all the media attention being diverted to Pacquaio in the eve of his big fight?
Pound for pound king, Manny Pacquaio is not worried about attention of media or fans. As a matter of fact, last several times Manny arrived in Los Angeles he escaped everyone at the airport, by slipping through back door. ?I just want to make people happy,” said Pacquaio at the last LA press conference. That stunt did not make people happy, but he promises to make it up on November 12th. Last time Pacman did not evade fans and media attention at LA Airport was when he arrived to train prior to Joshua Clottey fight. Regardless of what experts may think, Pacquaio is not taking the man they call Dynamito lightly. According to reports from Philippines Manny has already started doing road work and cardio training to stay in shape for the camp which is scheduled to start in the middle of September in Philippines.
