To fill his father?s shoes ( Joe Calaghe Sr pictured above) as far as boxing goes, little Joe will have to become one of the greatest boxers of all time. Staying at the top level of competition and retiring with an unbeaten record, is something that most fighters want, but rarely get. While the competition is there, and the opportunity is available for little Joe, the expectations could be much higher than he could handle.
Usually it?s the constant pressure and demand for better and for more that gets to the younger fighters. Family expectations and praise are generally a big deal for a kid, but with a father like Joe Calzaghe, aiming to achieve or surpass his legacy might turn out to be, well, improbable.
I am very curious to see how Joe Calzaghe Jr. does in his first fight, and how he is able to progress as time goes on.
