Pacquiao/Marquez 3- So it looks like this clash is going to be distributed by HBO on November 12. I guess the Showtime money wasn?t as long as anticipated last time out. I for one am glad that HBO will air this long anticipated career ending trilogy..Yeah, I said it! Career ending. I do not mean to be harsh, but this is exactly what it has come to for Marquez. Marquez is a great fighter who will one day be in the Hall of Fame, but he should never have taken this fight at this weight. Truth be told that Marquez did have Pacquiao figured out at the lighter weights, but anything north of 140 pounds will tell another story. I would be shocked if this fight is competitive, I mean I could be wrong, maybe Marquez does have Pacquiao figured out regardless of weight..but I honestly wouldn?t bet on it. Pacquiao is punching harder and cleaner these days. Pacquiao is a storm living inside your worst nightmare.
Mayweather/Ortiz- This is going to be the kind of fight that is going to shock many fans out there. I am expecting to see a very aggressive Floyd in the ring come September 17. Ortiz will be as vicious as usual, that we already know. But I?m telling you, for all those that are expecting to see Floyd box from a long distance and winning it in boring fashion, you are in for a rude awakening. Floyd will fight this fight the same way he fought against Mosley. Floyd will meet Ortiz in the center of the ring and will go hard and test Ortiz?s heart early and often. Ortiz will need to double up on the jab, one jab at a time will not get it done because Floyd will throw his jab over Ortiz?s jab and find him with it each and every time. This fight is going to be a lot more exciting than you think.
