Amir Khan believes a mega-fight with Floyd Mayweather Jnr at Wembley Stadium could happen within the next 12 months.
The WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion recently recorded a dominant knockout victory against Zab Judah and is already planning the next move in his career.
Lamont Peterson is now his mandatory challenger for the IBF belt, while the British fighter has also been mooted to face the winner of September’s clash between Jorge Barrios and Erik Morales.
But Khan admits that his ultimate goal is to go up against undefeated pound-for-pound superstar Mayweather, and he believes he can lure the American to fight him at a sold-out Wembley.
“I think every young fighter wants to fight the best out there and in this era Floyd is the best along with Manny Pacquiao,” Khan told Sky Sports News HD.
“I can’t fight Manny because we train together and we’re good friends but Floyd is a possibility, Floyd is a fight that – in the next 12 months – could happen.
