Ex-convict Sladeck: I want cash for Manny Pacquiao’s website, restaurant, movie

“IT IS JUST THAT PACQUIAO’S CAMP IS VERY DIVIDED AND I HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO HAVE WHAT I HAVE.

“IT TAKES CONSTANT THUMB ON MANAGEMENT TO MAKE SURE THINGS ARE DONE WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE CHAMP AND OF COURSE DONE RIGHT.” –Email sent by Timothy James Sladeck on April 18, 2011.

Once upon a time, Timothy James Sladeck was a frustrated former Whittier (Calif.) High School football player who realized he would never make it as a college or professional player.

Instead, the bulky Sladeck took up bodybuilding and put the full force of his obsessive-compulsive personality into hopefully becoming an American version of bodybuilding superstar Arnold Schwarznegger.

As part of his eight to nine hours per day tossing barbells around, Sladeck also became a daily steroid user even though he knew possession and or use of such drugs was a crime.

He loaded up on the juice even though he was, as a Los Angeles court bailiff, an employee of the LA Sheriff’s Department.

One day, Sladeck flashed a gun as he and a steroid-addled roommate held up a frightened jewlery store owner. For that, his law enforcement worker turned crook was handed a five year prison sentence. Sladeck and the roommate, who got off with probation only, both admitted having illegal drugs in their possession.

To his credit, now about 17 years later, it can be said that Sladeck leads a law-abiding life. He partially owns and operates MP8.com, said to be Manny Pacquiao’s official website.

Just this week, Sladeck released a video in which he said, “My goal is just to run a website.”

The Crazy Baldhead (shoutout to Uncle Bob Marley), who formerly sported a mohawk haircut, flatly denied wanting to fill his pockets from the Pacquiao Money Pool in any area beyond ther website.

But Sladeck lies like a flea-ridden dog and I’ve got proof.

Sladeck’s goal is to shove beleaguered agent Michael Koncz aside and to take over all boxing operations for the Pinoy Idol.

His venomous shots at Koncz recently include this: “He is a great gopher or butler. He is a better butler or gopher than he is a businessman…He’s a waterboy.”

Well, let’s leave the outcome of this internecine fight to the American Sladeck and Canadian Koncz.

But, returning to Sladeck’s “I’m happy running the website” blather, let me now reveal that:

1. Sladeck demanded “a confidential finders” fee from a movie producer or wanna be named Henry C. Wang concerning a Manny Pacquiao movie. Sladeck was emphatic that he did not want Pacman or anyone else to know about his “cut” from the movie deal which was being discussed last February. Wang was or is lining up “investors” for the movie project.

2. Though a fellow named Keith Rhodes, Sladeck was or is trying to get a Manny Pacquiao branded restraurant opened in San Francisco. Sladeck was informed MP Boxing would get five percent of a projected $4 million gross sales or “about $20,000 annually.”

Rhodes informed Sladeck that they would use Pacman lawyer Jeng Gacal on the deal and make Sladeck “exclusive agent” for the transaction. Rhodes informed Sladeck he would get both a salary and “shares” in the restaurant if the eatery deal moved forward. Sladeck said he wanted his interest in the deal “protected.”

3. For months, Sladeck cuddled up to Ben Thompson, who runs the Floyd Mayweather Jr. promoted and always friendly Fighthype.com site. Sladeck continually promised Thompson exclusive interviews with Pacquiao. Finally, a frustrated Thompson blasted Sladeck and arranged a Michael Koncz interview directly. Props to Cincinnati Ben for presenting a Pacquiao viewpoint on the Mayweathercentric site.

4. Sladeck wrote an error-filled book about Manny Pacquiao in which he heaped praise on me and my Congressional election in Sarangani coverage of Pacquiao. But now this week, he labeled me as being on Bob Arum’s “payroll” and not worthy of belief. At least he did not threaten me with violence like he did Examiner colleague Dennis “DSource” Guillermo. Despite the threats, Sladeck later apologized and said he offered DSource a chance to be the only writer on MP8.com but without any pay.

That sounds familiar to me since Sladeck wanted me to redo the terrible excuse for a book, the one littered with typos and grammar mistakes that fouth graders would not make.

It was a lot of work and Sladeck made me the same generous offer of no pay so I told him to buzz off nicely.

I guess I wasn’t on Uncle Bob’s payroll then, eh?

Funny thing is, when I was in Gensan, I found Sladeck to be an amusing gadfly on the fringes of the Pacman camp. Now he clearly wants to run the entire show in Pacland.

You see, in any commercial deal or enterprise involving the name and or likeness of Pacquiao, the guy who is so content only running the website always wants his money secured and delivered secretly so that neither Pacmam or any of his henchmen know about it.

That’s the modus operandi of a hustler’s hustler named Timothy James Sladeck. Yeah, the same guy who so idolizes Pacquiao and only wants the best for the eight division world champion.

When I return, more on Mr. Sladeck.

It’s a shame I see nothing in Mr. Arum’s pocket other than lint.

No need to keep that confidential, either.
