Seems a huge shake-up is occurring in the business of Manny Pacquiao and MP Promotions with the hiring of VisionQwest Resource Group, Inc. and VisionQwest Accountancy Group out of Los Angeles.
One quote from the press release strikes me as extremely interesting.
?VisionQwest reports directly to Manny. VisionQwest is currently examining all contracts from 2005 and going forward?
Why is VisionQwest looking back into the contracts of Pacquiao all the way back to 2005, does someone see something in the contracts that are fishy?
Remember Pacquiao is still under a lawsuit in Texas regarding the failure to return $100,000 dollars to Imperial Ed Promotions that is no longer in the business of doing boxing events since the failure of Manny Pacquiao to appear at events in Texas in the weeks before the Margarito bout in Dallas.
?Over the past few months Manny has already started to review team members that bring value to the organization and to terminate those that have hindered the advancement of his overall goals and objectives. This move enhances the overall performance of Team Pacquiao.?
Does this signal more firing on the Team Pacquiao?
The one thing that seems certain is that Michael Koncz is no longer handling the business affairs of MP Promotions and Manny.
We shot off an email to Michael L. Lodge, President & CEO, VisionQwest Resource Group, Inc. and do to a confidentiality agreement between VisionQwest and Pacquiao he could not comment though he did thank us for our interest.
Already it seems an improvement is mad in the Pacquiao camp because on several occasions Koncz was accused of speaking out of turn or not expressing the best interest of Pacman in the press.
?VisionQwest has also retained the services of a strong boxing business professional who has a solid background in fighter management and negotiations and who will be very involved in all contract reviews through the VisionQwest organization.?
Who is this new boxing professional of which they speak?
One now needs to wonder what VisionQwest will turn up in its audits, who is the new advisor hired by VisionQwest , and if that is reason for changes in Team Pacquiao?
