Earlier today inside of Barry?s Boxing Center right off of the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada, undefeated junior lightweight contender Diego Magdaleno worked out and addressed the media ahead of his clash this Friday night against Salinas, California?s Alejandro Perez. The Magdaleno-Perez bout takes place at the nearby Texas Station Casino and marks the 10th year anniversary of Showtime?s very successful ShoBox series.
Magdaleno started his career off with only three knockouts in his first fifteen fights but has stepped up in his game in scoring four straight stoppage victories against the likes of Carlos Oliveira, Derrick Campos, Marcos Jimenez, and Gilberto Sanchez Leon. In Perez he will be facing a stern test, as the 25-year old has been putting in solid work at Freddie Roach?s Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles and is coming off of a first round knockout over Antonio Escalante.
