After shaming Mexican hero Marco Antonio Barrera last November to barge into the elite pound-for-pound list, Pacquiao is now on track to claim the WBC, WBA and IBF titles within the next eight months.
The latest rankings by the three major sanctioning bodies bolster this probability.
The Mexico-based World Boxing Council, in its most recent rankings for January, has placed Pacquiao as the mandatory challenger to the winner of the April 10 showdown between Korean Chi Injin and Michael Brodie in Manchester, England.
