Floyd Mayweather, Jr, a Brilliant Counter-puncher that He Is, Knows when to Fight Manny Pacquiao

HOT POTATO via HOLLYWOOD, California – Seven years and one month ago, Manny Pacquiao faced an excellent counter puncher named Juan Manuel Marquez and nearly lost, and, to many, did lose, by which the bout was declared a draw based on the judges’ scoredcards. And, then, for about thirty-eight months and twenty-three days ago, their rematch transpired, such one that, really, cannot easily be forgotten. Fact is, it was too close to call an easy victory for Pacquiao.

But, the thirty-eight year old Chilango’s best of the Aztecs, Marquez, would surely try to show the better of himself on the stormy 20″ x 20″ canvas come November 12 trilogy at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. And what the boxing world will all see would be an aging fighter trying his best, to the least, versus the still young, vigorous and daring son of the Maharlikans, Pacquiao, demonstrating his might in strange monstrosity.

Pacquiao-Marquez surely portends an apocalyptic horror, at least according to one’s less infinite wisdom and foresight.

Meanwhile, one thing is sure for now and then, Floyd Mayweather, Jr. is much better than Marquez in countering. It’s NOT that Mayweather, Jr. is avoiding the fight. It’s just Mayweather, Jr. a brilliant counter-puncher and grandmaster that he is in the ring of madness, knows when to fight Pacquiao at his behest.

Mayweather, Jr., now 34, cannot just let his prime pass the better of his reflex and stamina at 36. The long anticipated fight with Pacquiao must take place in 2012.
