Casual Talk via HOLLYWOOD, California – While American pop singer-songwriter Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), better known by her stage name Lady Gaga, captures the No.1 spot of Forbes’ list of the most powerful celebrities of the world, Manny Pacquiao is nowhere to be found in the ranking of 100. He captured number 55 in the 2010 Forbes Celebrity 100 ranking of the world?s richest and most powerful celebrities and personalities.
And even Forbes Magazine’s Top 10 Most Powerful Athletes’ list 2011 snubs Pacquiao again.
On the other hand, it’s uncertained if he is able to steal a spotlight with the recent release of his single, “Sometimes When We Touch”, which he produced together with original songwriter-singer Dan Hill. Its CD includes original recording, remixes and extra tracks, plus DVD documentary. It’s a well-produced item and can become a memory-reviving favorite of Hill’s admirers. Advertisement
But, it’s target market is non-reactive to its introduction and unnamed major outlets are less interested to carry the items for sale, according to inside report, except Amazon.com.
“Its better for Pacquiao to consider a movie production with Hollywood filmmakers, ” says a close Pacquiao confidant who discloses about Pacquiao’s run-through on condition of anonymity. “Now is the best time for him to start one while he is still on the top of his game, even if the filming takes place in the Philippine-setting; many top stories can be chosen that would somehow fit his talent in the American market.”
“His recent commercial TV ad wtih HP is a gigantic step that could increase his celebrity power. I am glad Top Rank touches his promotion outside of boxing. His popularity would have been stagnant and remained untapped with his usual reliance of Team Pacquiao. At least, unwarranted dealings are somehow eliminated.”
“I am telling you, we have just received new offers for Pacquiao to endorse more American brands, which we have yet to study,” he adds.
