Antonio Margarito manager Sergio Diaz sat down with 8CN to set the record straight concerning the rumors of retirement. Diaz tells 8CN that Margarito is not retiring, nor does he have a detached retina. Margarito did in fact break his orbital bone in the fight Vs, Pacquiao, but there is no detached retina. Margarito is currently adhering to the doctors orders that he does no fighting until his eye completely heals.
Diaz also talks about a few other of his fighters, one being John Molina an exciting knockout artist who fights at lightweight. He also is working with an amateur standout Juan Gonzalez a 6ft 1inch welterweight who’s about to make his pro debut.
Diaz also talks about coach Robert Garcia and the rising Oxnard boxing gym. Garcia is quickly rising up the ranks and is considered by some as the next Freddie Roach.
