And among the several other guests was Ilocos Sur Governor Luis ?Chavit? Singson, Estrada?s former buddy-turned-political nemesis.
Despite the animosity between Estrada and Singson, world boxing champion and Sarangai Rep. Manny Pacquiao managed to unite them in one table. ?I?m trying to mend fences between the governor and the former President,? Pacquiao said.
Estrada and Singson parted ways in 2001 at the height of the investigation on illegal numbers game.
It was learned that Dionesia personally invited Estrada to grace his birthday celebration while Singson came along with Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao all the way from United States to this city, where the Filipino ring icon was accorded a hero?s welcome following his recent victory against African-American Shane Mosley.
Dionesia warmly welcomed Estrada who proceeded directly to the stage to personally greet Pacquiao?s mom on her natal day.
Estrada and Dionesia topbilled in ?Ang Tanging Pamilya? movie with actress-comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas.
Dionesia?s birthday also highlighted the inauguration of the newly built P100-million Pacquiao gymnasium that served as the venue of the celebration.
Pacquiao, the richest congressmen, gifted Mommy D with her wish ? a P5-million Hermes bag.
