Pacquiao needs to take charge on Mayweather, PED allegations

Oh, great, just what boxing fans want to hear, want to read about.

The Manny Pacquiao camp either wants to beef up its defamation lawsuit against Floyd Mayweather Jr. or they may pursue a new case against the guy who calls himself ?Money.?

(Side note: One thing Pacman and “Money” have in common is both are good to their respective mothers. Pacman is digging into his bulging pockets for a lavish 62nd brithday bash in Gensan for Queen Dionesia while Mayweather recently noted all the computers and other gadgets he bought for his maternal unit and other relatives. But I digress.

What fight fans really want to see and hear from Pacman now are two action items: Pacman goes against his modest character and flat out draws a line in the sand, proclaiming loudly that, once Juan Manuel Marquez is taken care of on Nov. 12, he is calling Mayweather out. No ifs, no buts, no candy and no nuts. Pacquiao has to make it clear that he?s far more keen on a Mayweather Lollapalooza than he is in virtually meaningless title defenses against worthies such as old but revived lion Zab Judah and young Timothy ?Billy Goat? Bradley. Pacquiao, with protective promoter Bob Arum at his side, announces simultaneously that, if the Nevada State State thletic Commission implements totally random testing for 2012, that he will be more than happy to abide by this change in drug testing procedure. Will this cause Mayweather, whose reluctance to accept the Pacquiao challenge, is I think all about ego, about Flamboyant Floyd feeling he?s been backed into a corner where many people, of all colors, nationalities and creeds, think that he is ducking Manny, to step forward and order his handlers to make the fight with all revenue split down the middle, 50-50?

I don?t know, I left my cracked crystal ball on Madam Auring?s nightstand after our last fevered fling in Makati. She may be a psychic but the guy with the machete looked like a psycho.

What I do know is that such militant, aggressive conduct by Pacman would shut up the carping critics and that is something that even a courtroom victory over Mayweather and the others who shout and whisper that he is all jacked up on EPO, HGH, whatever won?t silence them.

It?s time for Pacquiao to take charge.

If Mayweather balks then, he won?t have just egg on his face.

It will be a fully-loaded omelet.

Go ahead, Manny, because if Mayweather stutters then, the yolk is on him.
