Only Parisites like Hilton found Mosley-Pacquiao “amazing” but it doesn’t matter

As the backlash continues…have we all forgotten that you pays your money and you takes your chances?

Sagacious and hard-boiled, sure he is all of that but I have to admit that Bob Arum is not wrong in thinking that Manny Pacquiao’s opponents and even how those foes perform does not matter to the vast majority who were tortured by Sugar Free Shane Mosley Saturday night.

Hardcore boxing fans, those most outraged by Mosley’s appalling lack of effort, can fit in a thimble. I would say that at least 90 percent of those around the world who sat and watched Pacquiao’s soporific points verdict drubbing of Mosley (whose ring music should’ve been “Take The Money And Run”) line up with socialite and Parisite Paris Hilton who was in a free ringside pew with her beau.

“It was an amazing fight,” Ms. Hilton said at the postfight presser where sat on the dais next to the Pinoy Idol’s lovely and talented wife, Jinkee.

Sure, Paris, like you know a left hook from a fish hook. But who cares the way she brightened up the Media Center?

Indeed, it was amazing like so…

It was amazing that no one wants to know where that White House photo of President Obama and Pacquiao really is but I’m hearing that Mosley’s face will be soon on the side of milk cartons. Maybe Obama advisers had an inkling that Not Sweet But Really Low Mosley would disappoint…

It was amazing that Mosley, who had blisters on his foot from foolishly wearing new and not broken in boxing shoes, did not get an endorsement deal from online shoe peddler Zappos. Guess that the Zappos guys heard that, unlike them, Mosley does not deliver. Well, that’s shoe business, baby…

It was amazing that well-regarded referee Kenny Bayless, whose blowing of the “knockdown” call against Pacman in the tenth round was what courts call harmless error, did not ever see fit to a) reprimand Mosley for his repeated clinching or b) chastize Mosley in the corner between a round and tell him to fight rather than backpedal like a bus stuck in reverse. I remember an era when refs did those things and boxing commissioners backed the ref’s play. Maybe if a financial penalty was attached or even threatened then Mosley would’ve put in some work for his millions…

It was amazing that so few remarked on how Antonio Margarito, though he remains a Hall Of Shamer for his handwrap cheat try against Mosley, at least took his Pacman lumps in Dallas before lining up for his paycheck…

It was amazing that Arum did not lock down Juan Manuel Marquez with a bigger purse offer to fight Megamanny Nov. 5 or 12 BEFORE the Mosley debacle. Top Rank should’ve been more generous to the Mexican counterpuncher, laying down an offer that would make Golden Boy recoil in horror. They say JMM refused $5 million and Mosley’s dismal outing makes Chapter 3 of Juan Ma-Mannny look like it could be worth a $10 million guarantee plus possible PPV upside for the contentious Marquez. Putting it another way, Mosley’s dullness sent Marquez’s value skyrocketing and now the revised offer sheet from TR must reflect that..

It was amazing how for relative peanuts, amazing Mexican warrior Jorge “Travieso” Arce was all blood, guts and glory in his thrilling victory over Wilfredo Vaszquez Jr. Guess Mosley was picking his feet in Poughkeepsie instead of watching Arce’s marvelous template in the thriller before the pain event of the evening…

It was amazing how at least two people cheered embattled Nevada Sen. Harry Reid when Jimmy Lennon Jr. introduced him. One was his pal, Arum. and police are on the lookout for the second person. Other than that, Harry heard all jeers… It was amazing that, in my travels, I never saw old friend Bobby Pacquiao. But Bobpac, even though an ordinary pro fighter, would’ve given his brother a better contest than Nowhere Man Mosley did…

It is amazing that D-Con, the cockroach killing product which was long ago endorsed by Muhammad Ali (“It kills roaches dead”) has never hired Floyd Mayweather Sr. as a shill. Papa Money could spiel about how D-Con “even kills Joke Coach Roaches.”…

It is amazing that so few recall how Ali fought his share of turkeys and no hopers along the way and few ever blinked. I mean the Jurgen Blin, Jean Pierre Coopman and Richard Dunn types. Not to mention how Larry Holmes picked on low wattage talents such as Lorenzo Zanon. Ali and Holmes both picked on Alfredo Evangelista…

It was amazing and a nice touch by USA Boxing bringing in Coach Roach to tutor the amateurs but how does AIBA, the international boxing governing body, permit that in America while at the same time suspending amatuer boxing in England because they hired pro trainer Rob McCracken in a similar role? McCracken is Carl Froch’s well-regarded tutor. Maybe AIBA has different rules, country by country or maybe they’re just ridiculous…

It’s amazing that the Kardashian Sisters have not contradicted Ms. Hilton on how “amazing” the fight was (not)…

By the way, the K Sistass all use the same ring walk music.Sir Mix A Lot, and where is Seattle’s Finest lately, doing his classic “Baby Got Back.”…
