During his latest performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao stopped by to discuss his May 7th fight with Shane Mosley, a bout set to take place inside the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Towards the end of their conversation the duo also discussed another of Pacquiao’s latest projects; his new cologne called ‘MP8’.
Pacquiao originally had a cologne called ‘MP7’, a reference to him winning titles in a record seven weight divisions. At the time Kimmel had asked him what would take place if he would happen to win another belt in an eighth weight class and Pacquiao playfully said he would be forced to come up with a different fragrance.

Sure enough Pacquiao would end up fulfilling that goal last November as he thoroughly trounced Antonio Margarito at Cowboys Stadium just outside of Dallas, Texas to win the vacant WBC junior middleweight crown. Staying true to his word, Pacquiao would later resurface with MP8, which is said to be the ‘scent of a champion’.
Pacquiao leaves for Las Vegas on Monday but could be seen in Los Angeles on Saturday for a special appearance at a crowded Ron Robinson/Fred Segal on Melrose store, as he was there to launch his MP8 brand. While this isn’t riveting news by the slightest, anything that Pacquiao does is now watched with a microscope, especially with another high-profile fight just days away.
