The big fight between the pound for pound king, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley is approaching quickly. One of my Facebook followers sent me a video of an interview that was conducted by www.datruthboxing.com with boxing trainer Roger Mayweather. In the interview Roger speaks about the Pacquiao Vs. Mosley fight. When he was asked for his thoughts on the fight, he went right into the drug testing issue. Mayweather asked a really simple question, “Why does Mosley have to take a test and Pacquiao doesn’t?”
If this is indeed the case, and Pacquiao is in fact exempt from testing and Mosley is not, then I have a HUGE problem with that. With that said, I have not been able to confirm such a thing, therefore I don’t have much else to say about it. It’s no big surprise that one of the Mayweathers would go on the record and once again imply things when it comes to steroid usage.
If what Roger is saying is true, and Pacquiao has been exempt from taking the test and Mosley is made to take one, that’s a big issue. I must stress though, I have not seen anywhere on any publication, or any press release, or any other news source where this has been reported. The first time I have heard about this was on the video that DaTruthBoxing did with Roger Mayweather
Mayweather also tells DaTruthBoxing that he estimates Floyd Jr’s return to the ring to be sometime later this summer. No opponents have really been talked about other than Paul Spadafora, and if that report ends up being true, it would be a travesty. There is nothing wrong with taking a stay busy fight, but for Mayweather to be matched up with a Paul Spadafora? The only people that would be staying busy would be the doctors and nurses that were trying to bring Spadafora back to life. Mayweather would kill him.
