“SOME” PACMAN FANS NEED RESTRAINT & RESPECT!
San Francisco, CA-Earlier this week, I penned a piece on a vast number of foul-mouthed Manny Pacquiao fans. They say malicious things like, Erik Morales’ mother is no good, Marco Antonio Barrera is, among other things, gay, and so on! Or Mexicans are far more ignorant than Filipinos. And folks this is not some new phenomenon. Just as was the case last March, when Manny lost to Erik on points, Pacman fans dropped thousands of negative comments about Morales, Mexicans, and myself.
RACIST BULLSPIT FROM ISLANDS HAS GOT TO STOP!
With a grandfather born in the Philippines, and not being of Mexican descent, I resent the racial attacks on myself, and the others who have been singled out by this mob. In closing, I’m sure Manny Pacquiao would be embarrassed if he read the stuff some of you (his backers) have written.
BE PROUD, BUT DON’T BRING DOWN THE COUNTRY!
Filipinos have gone wild because Pacquiao is the biggest star to ever emerge from the Philippines. And seeing he is one of the best, if not the best fighter pound for pound in boxing, I can see why they’re so rabid! But there’s a big difference between backing a fighter, and calling his opponents mother a whore! So, to those of you that are of the immature ilk, I expect you’ll continue to pound away and say things that are not even borderline kosher. For the smarter reader, the one that realizes I was merely making a point, there is no racism in my work. Had I gotten thousands of emails, comments, etc., calling Manny names in Spanish or English, I would have slammed the Mexican fans in the same manner!

You can scour your entire country, and you will not find a writer who has done more for Manny Pacquiao, and Luisito Espinosa than myself! I have lobbied for years to have Rod Nazario, and others, who were responsible for Louie not getting $135,000 US for a 1997 fight, be held accountable. And people, if it were not for me, you, and Manny too, would have never known that promoter Murad Muhammad got $250,000 for Manny to fight the late Agapito Sanchez, in 2001. Murad paid Manny $67,000!
