“Sugar” Shane Mosley not only thinks that he can win, he thinks he can knockout Manny Pacquiao. Should we be surprised by this? I don’t think we should be surprised by Shane’s confidence in the least. Shane is a future Hall of Fame prize fighter. When Shane was in his prime, he wasn’t just good, he was great.
Mosley’s last few performance against Mayweather and Mora were not his best, but don’t let that fool you. Shane may have something up his sleeve that he will deliver in May. The question is, has Shane been captured by father time, or did he just have two very awkward fighters to deal with in his last two fights?
If Shane was captured by father time, he will have a very difficult time against Manny Pacquiao. If the Shane Mosley that fought Sergio Mora shows up against Pacquiao, it will be Mosley who will be knocked out. If the primed Shane Mosley shows up, expect a much better fight than you think.
Mosley is no joke. He’s a legend in boxing and he can still crack. He will use that power and he will try to time Pacquiao just right. Margarito was never able to land much on Manny because of Pacquiao’s speed and angles. Mosley however is a much faster puncher than Margarito is. Advertisement
On the flip, Mosley better be ready for a punching frenzy when he gets in there against the Pacman. Manny Pacquiao will be coming, and he will be throwing over a thousand punches in the fights. Pacquiao will not get tired, as he trains like a machine. Mosley needs to be in superior condition in order to keep up with the pace of Pacquiao, if he gets tired, it will be a bad night.
Folks in Mississippi are actually pretty excited about this fight. There are a ton of Shane Mosley fans down here, and a good amount of Pacquiao fans as well. The thing about Shane and Manny is both men are gentleman outside of the ring. They both gained a lot of fans over the years because of how they treat people. Both fighters are good to their fans as well.
