The Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, CA, Manny’s home turf when he’s in the America, will once again have a parking lot jammed with fans, and hopeful onlookers wishing for a glimpse or even a photo with the pound for pound king.
It’s quite amazing when you look at how far this man has come. Once upon a time he was selling cigarettes in The Philippines. Now? Now he is the world’s greatest fighter, a Congressman, an actor, and a musician all in one. During his last visit in America while on the press tour, Pacquiao stopped traffic in Washington DC, and met with the President of The United States. How’s that for a guy who sold smokes in the streets in the Philippines not too long ago?
Pacquiao’s arrival here in America gets the blood pumping for boxing fans. They know that with his arrival comes his fight in the very near future. Pacquiao will be completing the final half of his training in Hollywood. He is preparing for his showdown Vs. Shane Mosley. This fight may just be a lot more exciting than some people think. Mosley has had a monster camp, and has told the press that he’s back. He has a new team, and a new outlook on things. Will this be enough though?
Pacquiao has achieved things in boxing that cements his place into the Hall of Fame. Winning 8 world titles in 8 different weight classes is an amazing accomplishment. This has not come without accusations. The Mayweathers have attacked Pacquiao relentlessly accusing the man of taking steroids. Pacquiao just keeps his head focused, and keeps fighting.
