THE latest issue of The Ring magazine voted Manny Pacquiao as its Fighter of the Month for ?kicking Marco Antonio Barrera?s ass right there on HBO for the entire world to see,? wrote editor in chief Nigel Collins.
Pacquiao landed on the cover of the publication regarded as the Bible of Boxing, but a five-page article written by Collins, turned out to be a must-read.
Titled “Barrera-Conqueror Pacquiao: He Has Everything You Can Ask For?Except An American Birth Certificate,” the piece of Pacquiao appeared in The Ring?s April 2004 issue which was released in the US last week.
However, copies of this edition have yet to hit local bookshops and newsstands.
Collins wrote in the second paragraph: “Pacquiao figured to give Barrera a tough fight, maybe a very tough fight. But how many expected Pac-Man to gobble up the reigning featherweight champion like he was a bag of tortilla chips?”
