A resolution has been filed in the Manila City Council expressing the highest admiration for Manny Pacquiao for proving before the nation and the whole world that he is a true champion when he knocked down Eric “El Terrible” Morales in the WBC International Super Featherweight match last month in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In the resolution principally authored by Manila 1st District and authored by all councilors of Manila, Councilor Atong Asilo said the stunning victory of Pacquiao over the pride of Mexico undoubtedly makes him the true people’s champion, the pride of the Malayan race of contemporary times, a national treasure and a model of hard work and dedication to his calling as a professional boxer.
Asilo also said that the Filipino nation as well as Filipinos in all parts of the world are certainly filled with pride with this most admirable feat of Pacquiao that will linger for generations to come.
