Pssst…! Worries Dwelling in Donaire, Jr’s Camp

Casual Talk via LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire, Jr. may have been ill-advised to be so indulgent about his weight management. Surprisingly he seemed to be so contained in the

face of a miscalculation being over the 118-pound contracted weight limit for the bantam weight rumble hours before the final weigh-in today at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. He tried to appear upbeat before the public eye albeit inside of him compensating, indeed. Not really great to get pulled by the excess weight and the heat by the scale at the last hour.

And, worse, in Filipino Flash’s eyes, one could see an inversely revealing cost of it all. He could be a 5th gear velocity lesser than that of his usual strength. His eyes looked dreary as if he was contemplating the bell at the tip of the fishing rod, according to inside source. He’s somewhat worried. The swiftness of draining out for more just to catch a certain weight limit may have been sapping Filipino Flash’s might, which normally could take three days or more for a good athlete after straining all his muscles in particular, whole body and mind in general, to recuperate.

Anyhow, unconfirmed report from the ranks of Top Rank had it that the official weigh-in time was pushed for almost an hour delayed because Filipino Flash allegedly overweight. No specific number was disclosed.

Another concern for Filipino Flash was a potential recurrence of muscle cramps in the legs because of it. Such issue can be more pronounced on fight night if his lytes and hydration are not sufficient or imbalanced.

Meanwhile, Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel, the counter-part of Filipino Flash, appeared solid and confident. He looked like he does not need to rebait his line. He looked like he has gotten the upper-hand in the shallow water. He seemed all ready to face the toughest and most intelligent opponent of his entire career.

But, I am sure, Filipino Flash will have to be more calculating with his game plan: No toe-to-toe combat.

Still rooting for a FLASHY ENDING inside 5 rounds.

Stay tuned for more!
