MANILA, Philippines ? Freddie Roach insists that Shane Mosley is far from being finished and that he expects Manny Pacquiao to have a tough time dealing with the sizzling speed and paralyzing power of the 39-year-old American puncher.
?I expect him to be at his best,? Roach told boxingscene from Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.?s training camp in Culiacan, Mexico.
Roach is working with Chavez Jr., who is revving up for a fight there next week.
Mosley is facing Pacquiao on May 7 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Roach also noted that Mosley ?is a very experienced fighter with a very dangerous right hand.?
Although Mosley has been on-and-off lately, Roach said he ?is not even close to being finished.?
Known for his iron chin, all of Mosley?s six losses were on points but Roach is upbeat Pacquiao will be the first fighter toinflict Mosley a knockout defeat, something that the Filipino pound-for-pound king?s adviser Mike Koncz would like to happen.
?As I have been saying, Mosley is still a dangerous fighter,? said Koncz.
