MANNY Pacquiao is now the best featherweight boxer in the planet.
The General Santos City-based conqueror of Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera has been given that lofty rating by the prestigious The Ring Magazine in its latest pound-for-pound rankings released Wednesday.
Considered the bible of pro boxing, The Ring Magazine rankings are considered the best and most objective compilation of the real status of boxers, and its ratings are deemed more authoritative than the ones released by the World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF).
The latest rankings also installed Pacquiao, the reigning IBF superbantam champion, as No. 6 in the mythical pound-for-pound list.
