Noted American boxing trainer Freddie Roach yesterday maintained he?s out of Team Pacquiao and will no longer work with Manny Pacquiao as long as he continues “to allow himself to get robbed blind” by US promoter Murad Muhammad.
Denying reports that he has returned to the Filipino champion?s camp, Roach said efforts to make him reconsider his earlier decision to bolt the team failed following the insistence of Team Pacquiao to keep Muhammad in its fold.
Roach, who helped propel Pacquiao to world prominence with that 11th knockout victory over Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera last November, charged Muhammad of dishonesty and “stealing” not only Pacquiao of his earnings but himself as well.
