Light welterweight contender/world title challenger Lamont Peterson (28-1-14KO-1D) stopped by the 8CN Pod-cast and talked about his back and forth throw-down against Victor Ortiz. Peterson survived two early knockdown and battled back into to the fight. Lamont gave up 10 lbs to the bigger Ortiz, and that’s a good reason why the clean power shots that he landed were not as effective as they usually are. 8CountNews scored the fight 95/93 for Peterson just like judge Robet Hoyle scored it. The other two judges had it 94/94 twice. Peterson showed a lot of heart and focus and fought his way back into the fight.
