Jose Morales, the father and trainer of Erik “El Terrible” Morales, expressed full confidence that his offspring will rise to victory over Argentina’s Jorge “The Hyena” Barrios at the Caliente Stadium in Tijuana on December 18. During the next couple of days, Morales will fine tune a few things and make sure his weight is on schedule.
“Everything is going well. We’re just waiting for the day. We are putting an emphasis on speed. With respect to weight, that should not be a problem, so we’re good,” Jose Morales said
“It will be a difficult struggle, complicated. Barrios is a fighter who has a polished technique, but he fights with great courage. I think it will be a hard fight. The Argentines, they win by any means. We have worked long and hard so that everything goes well. ?rik is ready, happy and confident to go out there with his hand raised high.”
