AMIR KHAN hopes getting past Marcos Maidana on Saturday will set up a clash against Floyd Mayweather Jnr in Britain next year.
The Briton makes his Las Vegas ?debut against Argentine dangerman Maidana in the third defence of his WBA world light-welterweight title.
Khan (right) has spent 13 weeks away from his Bolton home preparing for Maidana, who has stopped 27 of his 29 victims.

As part of his training, Khan, 23, has sparred with Filipino Manny Pacquiao, who is considered the world?s best boxer after winning titles in eight divisions.
Pacquiao and his pound-for-pound rival ?Mayweather, 33, have twice failed to agree terms for a scrap and Khan reckons he has got a better chance of making a fight with the American next year.
Khan insists he will box in either Manchester or London in 2011 ? and is targeting Mayweather, who KO?d Manchester?s Ricky Hatton three years ago.
He said: ?I think it?s realistic, a fight with Mayweather. If I keep on winning and doing well, it?s a fight for the future.
?I dream of becoming the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and you always want to fight the best boxers. I can?t fight Manny Pacquiao because he?s part of the camp. We have the same trainer and he?s a good friend ? but Floyd is different.
?Once I?m at my peak he will still be at his peak. I think it would happen in the UK and I want to bring the biggest fights to the UK.
?Maybe it could happen at the end of 2011. I?ve got a great promotion team and I know ?Golden Boy can make any fight happen.
?Mayweather works with Golden Boy and my promotions CEO Richard Schaefer could get that fight made.

American trainer Freddie Roach has revealed the plan to beat Maidana and said: ?He is a big puncher but Amir isn?t going to get hit by the big right hand.
?He has to avoid trading right hands, otherwise Maidana will knock him out.?
