The great people of the Philippines gave us the incredible Manny Pacquiao, but bless their hearts even further as that Nation may be on the verge of giving us another superstar in Nonito Donaire. Donaire is in action this Saturday in Anaheim, California on Pay-per-view. Donaire replaces Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in the main event to take on Ukrainian fighter, Wladimir Sidorenko.
Promoter Bob Arum who promotes Donaire (as well as Manny Pacquiao), strongly believes Donaire has superstar potential.
So how does Arum compare Donaire to Pacquiao?
Recently quoted by AOL Fanhouse, Arum in regards to both Pacquiao and Donaire, stated: “Manny Pacquiao is Manny Pacquiao. Nonito Donaire is another kind of fighter, (but) also a terrific fighter.”
In further comparing both fighters, Arum also stated: “Donaire naturally is growing so he will be going up in weight, even more naturally than Manny.”
