Question: Who?s the face of Boxing?

Basketball has Kobe, Mixed Martial Arts has Silva and golf had Tiger Woods. Well, some would immediately say ?Mayweather?. Is he? That is the question. In my personal opinion, I would have to say ?Pacquiao?. Now why would Pacquiao be considered the face of boxing? Manny Pacquiao has stepped up to the plate and is hitting homeruns like the big league-rs. Pacquiao is an active, exciting, non-controversial boxer at this time.
Floyd Mayweather, on the other hand, has been inactive and controversial which doesn?t set well in the world of boxing. Now don?t get me wrong, Mayweather with that Philly-style defense and hand speed has elevated him to a level that only few boxers ever achieve. Pacquiao says little, trains hard and puts out a lot. To sum up Pacquiao in one word it would be ?complete?. What else could he possibly do as far as technique, footwork and/or training? He uses angles and persistence to weaken and conquer his opponent.
Pacquiao is the new face of boxing with the expectation of only gaining momentum instead of stagnation. He is ?the? face of boxing.
