Juan Manuel Marquez vs. Michael Katsidis- You got to love the fighting spirit that both of these warriors carry. Marquez the technician against Katsidis and his kill or be killed approach. To the naked eye Katsidis should be too strong and too aggressive for the somewhat passive at times Marquez. Truth is that a part of me feels that Katsidis can wear down Marquez in the manner that Juan Diaz was doing so on Marquez early on in their first fight. At the end of the day I feel that Marquez?s experience and smooth combination punching will get the job done and carry Marquez to a knock out in round 10. Experience and conditioning will be key in this fight. Is Marquez?s conditioning be at an all time high for Katsidis? We will find out sooner than later. Marquez will paw with his jab first then deliver the goods next. Then Marquez will time Katsidis late and walk Katsidis into a booming right hand. Marquez will set it up with a cold left upper cut. Marquez by 10th round KO.
Andre Ward vs. Sakio Bika- In this fight I will have to go with Andre Ward. I just feel that Ward is very versatile and agile. It really doesn?t matter what game plan Bika decides to bring with him to Oak-Town. Ward is a very special fighter, so special that I feel that Ward is somewhere in the top 5 in the best pound for pound fighter list. Bika will have to do his best Glen Johnson impression and make it a dirty dog fight and hope that a lucky punch can rattle Ward. My pick is Andre Ward by UD.
Arthur Abraham vs. Carl Froch- This is the fight that I have been craving for all year long. Abraham/Froch has all the makings of being crowned fight of the year for 2010. I look at both fighters and what I see is that Froch has very heavy hands but Abraham has knock out power. I love the manner in which Froch always seems to find a way to make it real uncomfortable in there for his opponent. In Abraham I love the way Abraham bangs and bangs until his opponent can simply not take anymore. I hope that Froch is working on timing in camp for this fight, because when Abraham?s shield comes down the jaw will be right there for the taking. It?s hard to pick a winner, but since I am being pressed, I will go with Abraham to do just enough to take it. Abraham by SD.
