WBO and WBA lightweight (135 pounds) king Juan Manuel Marquez feels that he has unfinished business with Manny Pacquiao, with whom he has battled to a disputed draw and a controversial loss, respectively, in May of 2004, and, March of 2008.
Already the WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king, Pacquiao (52-3-2, 38 knockouts), who is promoted by Top Rank Promotions, is coming off of a Nov. 13, unanimous decision over ex-titlist Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs) for the vacant junior middleweight (154 pounds) crown and his eighth championship over as many weight divisions. Pacquiao won for the 13th straight time with as many knockouts during that stretch.
Marquez (51-5-1, 37 KOs), who is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions, has Saturday night’s HBO televised WBA and WBO lightweight (135 pounds) defense against WBA interim champion Michael Katsidis (27-2, 22 KOs).
