This week Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. has some how managed to once again get some bad press. The latest are allegations are that “Money” poked a security guard in the face. I wonder if these allegations prove to be true… I can’t help but wonder if TV’s “The Family Guy” had something to do with pushing “Money” over the edge.
Ok, before I go on, I love “The Family Guy”… creator Seth MacFarlane… You f-ing rule you magnificent genius of a bastard. Ok, I got that out of my system.
On Sunday, I got blown away when one of my favorite animated shows did an episode dedicated to Women’s boxing. Sunday’s past episode was entitled “Baby You Knock Me Out” During the episode a a 23 year old heavyweight boxer named “Floyd Wetherton” made a ringside appearance. I got to tell you, each time Floyd Wetherton came on, I was rolled over laughing.
Look, I knew right away the caricature was a parody take on Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. Others on the net agree, such as this posted on our forum:

And here is a comment posted by YouTube users: kpcsr415 posted: “As f**ked up as they did Mayweather’s face, it doesn’t compare to the way Margarito’s was done by Pacquiao.”
Check out the video clip posted on YouTube, its only a small taste of Floyd Wetherton (you’ll have to watch the whole episode for yourself to see all the clips). You really need to watch the whole episode to get all the laughs the put Floyd through.
Seriously though, I do wonder if it didn’t piss the hell out of Floyd “Money” Mayweather? Maybe even sent him over the edge to the point where he got a security Guard stuck on the end of his finger two days after Wetherton made his TV debut. “Money” just never came off like a guy who could take a joke. It’s “Family Guy”… every Celebrity to sports figure or music star gets a shellacking and they certainly did a number on Floyd Mayweather. I have a feeling “Money” took it serious.
My final verdict… I loved it. I felt honored that the sport of boxing was covered on such a classy TV show (FU… I mean it… that show is classy… even if most of Quagmire’s dates aren’t!) There is a reason why like a religion I always watch on Fox TV not only “Family Guy” but also “American Dad” and “The Cleveland Show” (All shows are my favorite and all created by the man, MacFarlane!) The shows are always off the wall funny and witty. I hope we see more on Floyd Wetherton. Maybe Family Guy could put on a animated fight between Manny Pacquaio and Wetherton…. since the real boxing world won’t be getting that fight anytime soon. I’d love to see how they’d draw up Pacman!
Ok my final statement… Seth MacFarlane, my world is better because of you and your team of talented actors, animators and writers. All of you… keep up the awesome work… and please, I beg you… have Wetherton show up from time to time in other epsiodes! And super big thank you for covering Boxing this past Sunday!
