That Energizer Bunny looks like a couch potato compared with always on the go Manny Pacquiao.
Despite obvious “bumps and bruises,” and swollen hands which sent him to see an orthopedic specialist in Los Angeles on Monday, Pacman was giving a concert Tuesday night at Harrah’s at Lake Tahoe.
“I am not surprised that he went, that’s Manny,” agent Michael Koncz said. “I wished he’d just rest up after a hard fight against such a big guy. It was a physically hard fight for both of them.”
Because of his exhaustion and sore all over condition, Pacman did take a “rain check” for an appearance on boxing friendly George Lopez’s network program.
Party of the second part, Antonio Margarito, is in the recovery room of a North Texas hospital where he underwent orbital bone surgery Tuesday.
“Manny can’t sit still long, you know that,” Koncz said. “He will be in San Francisco Wednesday and then we fly from LA back to Manila on Thursday.”
That means Pacquiao, the conquering hero, will arrive in his homeland on Saturday.
