Prospero Nograles checked in, together with a governor from Mindanao and a staffer who said they planed in from Vancouver with the group of MMDA Chair Bayani Fernando and his wife, Mayor Marides Fernando of Marikina and several Metro Manila mayors.
The same staffer said Gov. Chavit Singson of Ilocos Sur, who was also here for Manny Pacquiao’s first fight with Erik Morales at MGM Grand last year, has arrived for the big rematch between the two boxing stars on Saturday.
More politicians and other dignitaries from Manila are expected to arrive in full force in time for today’s official weigh-in at the Margaux Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas, a 2,700-room wonder that boasts of an 18-hole golf course.
