I hope Manny Pacquiao destroys Antonio Margarito tonight.
Pounds on him, round by round. No need for a knockout. Just keep Margarito upright for all 12 rounds, so he can beat on him all night long.
And at the end of the night, Pacquiao will be the unanimous winner in the battle for the vacant junior middleweight title at Cowboys Stadium.
I didn?t have much respect for Margarito before this fight. I don?t believe his story that he had no idea that trainer, Javier Capetillo applied a plaster-like substance in his hand wraps before a fight against Shane Mosley in Los Angeles in January 2009. At the very least, Margarito looked the other way while Capetillo did his dirty work. At worst, Margarito was complicit in the deception, the lowest of lows in trying to gain a competitive edge. Using that kind of added umph in the gloves is dangerous, unethical and disgusting.
But that was just a warmup act for boxing?s biggest cockroach. A video interview posted by Elie Seckbach of FanHouse recently went viral on the Internet. It featured Margarito and Brandon Rios _- both of whom are trained by Robert Garcia _mocking the Parkinson?s disease of Pacquiao trainer Freddie Roach.
Margarito has since apologized, but only because he had no choice.?
??they stooped kind of low this time,? Roach said. ?They showed their true colors.?
