Just few more days remaining for the 13th of November and the excitement seems to be contagiously spreading amongst Boxing fans all over. The WBC light middle-weight championship scheduled to be held between Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will take place at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Pacquiao Vs Margarito Countdown Begins: The fight which was initially written off by boxing fans as a compromise has picked up anticipation as the days inch closer. The Boxing World wants to see Pacquiao settle his score with the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. However due to that deal not being conduced successfully, the next biggest thing that could be arranged was a Pacquiao vs Margarito match.
Margarito was allegedly being ducked by the erstwhile lineal welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. who was reportedly offered a fat deal to duel Margarito. The American however chose to fight Carlos Baldomir instead. Antonio Margarito’s reputation faces a shadow of doubt since he got caught with his hand wraps loaded with a Plaster of Paris susbstance prior to his knockout loss to Sugar Shane Mosley a year ago.
Margarito was suspended for 1 year and was denied a boxing license in the states of California and Nevada. But having given a license to fight in Texas, he now will face-off with the best pound for pound fighter in the world, Manny Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao is known for capturing seven championship titles in seven different weight divisions and is considered the number one pound for pound best fighter in the world. On the other hand, Antonio Margarito is a big former two time welterweight champion of the world.
Only time will tell who emerges victorious out of the duel; Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao or Antonio “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito.
