World Boxing Organization featherweight title holder Juan Manuel Lopez (Caguas, Puerto Rico, 29-0, 26 KOs) and Rafael Marquez (Mexico City, Mexico, 39-5, 35 KOs) will face-off tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Both men weighed within the featherweight limit of 126 pounds on Friday afternoon: Marquez and Lopez both marked 125 and a half pounds.
Marquez, 35 years of age, finds himself a two and a half to one underdog at most sport books carrying legal gambling action. Lopez, 26 years of age, finds himself a solid three to one favorite.
It is expected that the bout will be a fan-pleasing fire-fight, as both men like to put their offensive first, give punches, and take punches. Both men have been knocked down, only to get back up and win fights in exciting fashion during their careers.
Going into the event, the men have a combined knock-out percentage of 84 percent.
Juan Manuel Lopez – Rafael Marquez will be televised by Showtime in the United States and aired at 6 P.M. E.S.T. and 9 P.M. P.S.T.
