Zab Judah looks to make yet another run for inclusion into the top tier on Saturday, this time against newcomer to the big scene Lucas Matthysse. We know a lot about Zab. We know hardly anything about Matthysse. How will things play out between the two?
Zab Judah is known for his superior power and speed, matched with his above average boxing ability. He?s a cut above your typical contender and looks fantastic smoking them out ? but he simply loses just about every time he steps it up and faces an elite fighter or future hall of famer. This dynamic has led to the belief that his most glaring flaw is his lack of focus, and his biggest fans feel that any of his losses were simply because he didn?t take the fight seriously, and that a ?Focused Zab? would have won just as he could against Mike Tyson or Godzilla. His notable losses include Kostya Tszyu, Cory Spinks, Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, and Joshua Clottey. Despite a fourteen year career his only truly significant win was a rematch against Cory Spinks.
