Khan vs Mayweather, then Khan vs Pacquiao

Since Amir Khan has been calling out Floyd Mayweather and since Freddie Roach feels Amir can beat him, just “what if” he does? Would Amir Khan be the number one contender to face Manny Pacquiao then? Freddie Roach would have to choose sides and we are sure it won’t be in Khan’s corner. Bob Arum would have a field day because he would generate so much money, but would this fight be fair to both the fighters?

Ok, so we are stretching it a little bit. Amir beating Floyd would be almost impossible to do. It would be a good fight for the first 3-4 rounds, but like all of Mayweathers fights he would walk them down and away with the fight. Roach would love for this fight to happen because he would want to see how good is his game plan against Floyd. He would also see Floyd up close in personal and be studying all of his flaws. Once Floyd beats Amir, then he would have all he needs to know and how to train Pacquiao efficiently to try to beat Mayweather.

The problem? Floyd wouldn’t fall for that. As much as Roach likes to play mind games, so does Floyd. For all those out there, not only is Floyd one of the best fighters out there, he also knows how to get into your head. He kind of puts you in mind of Mike Tyson when he would just intimidate you before you step into the ring with him. With Floyd, the fighters aren’t scared, they just don’t know how to adjust to his skills when he pours them on. 41 have tried and 41 have failed.
