LOS ANGELES—Manny Pacquiao is earning textbigbold million—the fattest paycheck of his career—against Erik Morales on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
In the event he shames Morales, he’d get even more when they collide for the third time sometime in May or June. Say, million?
The answer is probably yes because, according to Pacquiao, Morales is guaranteed a purse of million in this rematch.
When they fought for the first time last year at the MGM Grand, Pacquiao took ::textbig.750 million, while Morales got textbig.25 million.
If Pacquiao wins the rubber match, he would likely be pitted against Marco Antonio Barrera, the other major player in the division.
Wakee Salud, a close friend of Pacquiao, said that in the event it happens, Pacquiao would earn “much, much more than million.”
When Pacquiao made his debut in June 2001, he was only paid ,000.
